Eight principles

How Warmbrick approaches solar.

Solar starts with the house. These are the principles behind every conversation and proposal.
  1. 01. Why the house comes first

A solar system is added to a particular building. Its construction, layout and the way it is lived in shape what makes sense. Starting with a product and fitting the house around it gets the order wrong.

  2. 02. Why roof suitability matters

The roof decides what could be generated: direction, pitch, usable area, shading, features and condition. Some of it can be described from information; some of it can only be confirmed by assessment.

    Solar suitability
  3. 03. Why usage matters

Two identical roofs can suit different systems because of the households underneath them. When electricity is used matters as much as how much is generated.

    Household energy use
  4. 04. Why assumptions matter

Every estimate is built from inputs. Showing those inputs — losses, shading, self-consumption, tariffs — is what turns a number into something a homeowner can judge.

    Savings & assumptions
  5. 05. Product clarity

Modules and inverters differ. A proposal should name the products, explain why they suit the roof and the household, and state the warranties that apply — not lean on words like “premium”.

  6. 06. Customer decision

The homeowner decides, in their own time. No countdowns, no expiring offers, no pressure. Comparing proposals is sensible and welcome.

  7. 07. Technical confirmation

A sales proposal is not a substitute for technical assessment. Site, roof, electrical and network requirements, and installer credentials, are confirmed for the individual installation.

    What a proposal should show
  8. 08. Responsible solar sales

No generic savings figures, no promises about the weather, no finance or grant claims, and no accreditation claims that have not been confirmed. Clear information first; a decision after.

Warmbrick principle

Understand the system before you buy the system.

Customer clarity

Understand what you’re buying before you buy it.

Nine things a homeowner should be able to see clearly before making a decision about solar — from Warmbrick or from anyone else.
No. Item What you should be able to see
01 Product Which modules, inverter and mounting are proposed — named, not described as “premium”.
02 Specification How many modules, the layout on the roof, and how the parts fit together.
03 Assumption Every input behind an estimate: usage, orientation, shading, losses, tariffs.
04 Estimate Generation and any financial figures, labelled as estimates, with the method stated.
05 Price A written quotation for this project, with what is and is not included.
06 Warranty Which warranties apply, who provides them, and what they cover.
07 Installation arrangement Who installs the system, when, and what credentials they hold.
08 Eligibility / export requirement What is needed for any export arrangement, and what is not guaranteed.
09 Next step What happens if you say yes, what happens if you wait, and what you are committing to.
